This is what a strong CV looks like in this field, and why it is built that way.

Starter — Administrative and financial

In finance, software packages aren't buzzwords but genuine search terms, so they're named and linked to the role in which they were used — not listed separately at the bottom. Quantifying works differently here than in sales: turnaround time, error rate and number of invoices processed rather than revenue. The skills list contains only verifiable items, so no 'accurate' or 'strong with numbers'.

8+ years of experience — Administrative and financial

Thirteen years of experience, with a clear progression from administration to control. The CV uses the technical terms that fit the role — month-end closing, AO/IC, working capital management — but only where the work genuinely covers them. The role title is precise: 'business controller' and 'financial controller' are not synonyms, and that distinction has been kept visible here rather than smoothed over under the generic label 'controller'.
