Privacy statement

Who processes your data

CV-Refresher, Chamber of Commerce 42141838, is the data controller. Privacy questions go to support@cv-refresher.com.

For analytics data we work with Google Ireland Limited, which may process data outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

What data, and why

• Your CV data, to produce your new document. The separate page on processing CV data covers this.
• Your email address when you order, to send you the document and the link to your credits. Basis: performance of the contract.
• The content of your message if you use the contact form. Basis: legitimate interest in answering you.
• Your feedback if you leave any, with the publication choice you make yourself. Basis: consent.
• Analytics and advertising data, with your consent. On a completed order, Google receives a number of details. Legal basis: consent and legitimate interest. See the Cookie policy.

The application alpaca

If you click the alpaca in the bottom right and ask it something, the text you type is sent to Anthropic (Claude) so an answer can be generated. Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your question.

The conversation lives only in your own browser and is gone as soon as you refresh the page. We store none of its content; we only count how many calls were made and what they cost.

Your CV is not included. Besides your question, what does get sent is the page you are on and whether you have started a CV in this browser: yes or no, never the contents. So do not put personal data into the window: it does not need it and cannot do anything with it.

Payment data

Your payment details never reach us. Stripe processes the payment and receives your card or account details directly; we only see whether a payment succeeded.

How long we keep it

• CV uploads: deleted as soon as your document is ready.
• Order data: as long as tax law requires (seven years).
• Unpublished feedback: 24 months, then deleted.
• Contact messages: 400 days. The contact form sends nothing to this site. It opens your own mail program, so your message arrives as ordinary email and is deleted after that period.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, and object to processing. Email support@cv-refresher.com; we respond within one month. If we can't sort it out together, you can take it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

If you consented to publication of your feedback, you can withdraw that in one click through the link in your confirmation. Withdrawing is as easy as giving.
